I came across very interesting articles on language of enlightenment -Sanskrit  and Sanskrit & Artificial Intelligence, and I wanted to share with Medhajournal community.  Enjoy!

The extraordinary thing about Sanskrit is that it offers direct accessibility to anyone to that elevated plane where the two -mathematics and music, brain and heart, analytical and intuitive, scientific and spiritual

Dear Kaushal,
What I say below has nothing to do with Mathematics, but it is about daivajnyas and could help you to identify the unbroken daivajnya line from recently named daivajnyas
By way of distinguishing Daivajnyas of western India from Viswakarma brahmins of the viswajnya branch some of whom have been recently calling themselves daivajnyas, Deepak Shet of Mangalore gives some pointers in a recent blog:
Daivajnya Brahmins belong to the Suryavanshi brahman race that performed yajnas and other ritual duties from the period of Rig-Veda, on the banks of the rivers Saraswati-Drishdawati which was called “Bramhavartha”, in the region of Punjab and Haryana of today and in course of time some of them migrated southwards following the course of the Saraswathi.

Daivajnya” refers to people who in addition to performing yajnas and other ritual duties were involved with the Jyothisha Shastra (Astrology) which is one of the six Vedangas . “Daivajnya” means one who knows “DAIVA” (‘FATE’ or Destiny) that is “VIDHI”.

Daivajnya Brahmins are followers of ‘Sapta Rishi Gothras’(Seven Sages)among them Atri, Vashishta, Kashyapa, Gauthama, Bharadwaj, Vishwamitra, Jamadagni and also of and Agasthya , these are the eight main Gotra Pravaras. Besides these there are additional Gothra Pravartakas. But among Vishwakarma Brahmins Sanaga , Sanathana, Ahabhuna, Pratna, Suparna these five are main Gotras . Among them also some additional Gothra Pravaras are present.

Since 5th century A.D, Daivajnya Brahmins have been using Konkani language as their spoken language which was derived from Prakrit Apabhransha language. But Konkani is not the spoken language among the vishwakarma Brahmins. They speak the regional languages of the regions they have been settled in. E.g. those who are in Maharashtra use Marathi, in Andra Pradesh they use Telegu, in Karnataka they use kannada, in Tamilnadu they use Tamil and so on.
Daivajnya Brahmins have been worshipping Lord Vishnu (Laxmi narayan) , Sri Hayagreeva deity of Sode Vadiraj Mutt, Shiva, Durga –Shakti devi, Kalika devi ,Nagadevatha as their sacred gods since age long.
As the Daivajnya Brahmin migrated from Saurashtra and finally settled down in Goa- western coast permanently in 7th-8th century, they continued their ancillary gold and silver smithy occupation for their livelihood and led a peaceful and prosperous life in Goa till the invasion of Portuguese in 1510 A.D. According to their Vedic culture and heritage they established the temples of Lord Vishnu, Shiva, Durga devi (Shakti devi –Kalika devi) and Nagadevatha (God of serpent)in Goa. Daivajnya Brahmins of the different Gotras began to worship different of these gods as their Kuladevathas (family deities). According to the name of the place of the particular Kuladevatha, the Kulavi (follower) began to use the name of that place as the surname (family name) after adding “Kar” ,suffix ,viz, those were dwelled in “Verna”-“Vernekar” those were dwelled in “Rai” village “Raikar” , those were at “Revana” village “Revankar” like so “Shet” (Apabrhransha word of Sanskrit SRESHTA) is also a common surname for Daivajnya Brahmins which was started while they were in Saurashtra . For the class who are practising priestly ritual deeds they use the word, BHAT as the surname. But among the Vishwakarma Brahmins there are different surnames as Acharya, Dixit, Mahamuni, Ksheerasagar, Vedapathak, Advani, Stapathi etc. “Acharya” is the common surname among them.
The confusion between the two groups seems to have come about, because even in the Saraswat region, these Joshis (Jyotishis) had started practising gold- and silver-smithy as an ancillary occupation.

I hope this would be of some use to you.
Warm regards. Partha

I have a list of savants in the exact sciences. You might imagine that it would contain a dozen people if that. But it turns out that at last count there were about 150 . would wager that very few Indians could rattle of 20 names of famous people in the exact sciences (CK Raju doesnt like the word, so i may use the word Computational science instead) of the top of their head. I would be glad to share them with Medhavis. I only have one request to make that if you find anything on these individual (lesser known ones) you will be kind enough to share them with the Journal and me. I am particularly interested in the Daivajnya family of mathematician.astronomers. There are more Daivajnyas than you cna shake a leg at(certainly more than the Bernoullis ,the well known family of Swiss mathematicians) .

Thanks for your positive comments. I will continue my effort to compile links related to Sanksrit in Medhajournal.

For your first comment, I think we will find more works done by West on Sanskrit on the internet. We have to be passionate towards them, and feel happy that they are pursuing our heritage.

Thanks for that nice link.

It would be great if we at Medha compiled all goo Sanskrit links like this one at one place, organized for quick reference.

I'm reading this piece, & seems good. Author refers to Whitehead (,Alfred North) who was a pre-eminent "Philosopher of Science" who was attempting to heal the Western mind, with its "Science vs Religion" split...but being completely inside the WEstern tradition, and unaware of(or ignoring??) non-western traditions he was quite mild...
