"Narensomu " is the keyboard name of a mother of two who works limited hours as an architect and unlimited hours as a mother , blogger, and dreamer.
After graduation, "narensomu" worked in a Chennai based architectural firm for a few years and then taught for a few years in a college, after parenthood, as it allowed more time with the family.
Right now, works as an architect in an Engineeering consultancy in the middle East .
Reads and writes to learn .Sometimes manages to write down stories that were made up to make children eat or sleep.
Is in the process of re- discovering our greater mother, after leaving her physical embrace, just like many in a similar situation.
Right now,is looking at the many beautiful shells that dot the beach of eternity and is aware that the Sea itself is hiding many secrets that is beyond human imagination.
The Sea is mother who would reveal the secrets in good time and when she does, shells won't be needed .
But that's many million life times away Right now,as the excited child discovers a shell here and there , writes to share them and learn about them more and reads to admire the shells other children have collected.

Hi Rajendra,
Philosophers like Flanagan who want to derive a clean ethical Buddhist way of life and attempt to rid Buddhism of karma, rebirth and such extra features would do well not to start with the highly evolved Mahayana forms , but go back to the alleged sayings of Gautama the Buddha himself, to minimise their clean-up duty.
As you point out, who will be interested?

partha replied to the topic Re: Steven Weinberg on Physics in the forum.
I have read the Weinberg article three times after Pradip posted the link here.
Every reading makes me sadder.
The article happens to be a beautiful summary of developments in the past century in understanding primary particles, both through advances in particle physics and those in exploration of space leading to better ways of looking at what is happening out there where there is more action.
Subsequent readings expose the total dependence of the scientific community in the developed west for funding for relevant further research on political expediencies.
Weinberg points out very clearly to the need for larger and more endowed equipment needing more and more funds for effecting marginal breakthroughs and the uncertainties in the ability of scientists to have their way and say.
December 2011 probably gave us evidence of the appearance of the Higgs boson. Scientists quickly referred to some earlier evidence which may also have indicated the same.
The aside about the naming of the special boson is interesting. It is hoped scientists will not fight about the naming rights the way other categories of us are capable of doing.
